Firearms Training

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of an individual’s previous shooting experience or NRA affiliation and is available for delivery in two ways. One option is the traditional instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. The other option has two components: A self-study or blended “E-Learning” module which is completed online in your own timeframe and a hands-on practical portion conducted in a classroom and shooting range.

Helpful Information

Must possess an unexpired NJ Drivers License
FID Card
Pistol Permit Confirmation Email by the issuing authority
Mandatory 30 day wait time between the purchase of each pistol and taking possession

Our Fees

TRANSFER FEES
- $40 per individual transfer
- $25 each for multiple transfers
- Veterans & 1st Responders
  - $25 per transfer
- Service that includes:
  - Firearms received from an outside vendor
  - Private – person to person sale (receiver of the firearm)
  - Customer seeking to ship to another FFL
- NICS FEES – Additional fees paid directly to State of New Jersey for required background check before buyer can take possession of their firearm.
  - Handguns – $16
  - Long guns – $15
- NJ COMPLIANCE FEES:
  - Magazine blocking – first one, $20; each additional, $10
  - Pinning/welding muzzle break or stock – $30 for one; $50 for both
